Young Preschool Program
Our Young Preschool Program is designed for who are becoming increasingly independent, curious, and eager to explore the world around them. Through a balance of structured learning and purposeful play, children develop the confidence and foundational skills needed.
At ABC Learning Tree, we believe that independence begins with everyday experiences. Our teachers provide patient guidance and encouragement as children develop important self-help skills, including handwashing, cleaning up after activities, putting away personal belongings, dressing with assistance, and working toward successful potty training. We partner closely with families to create a consistent, positive potty-training experience that supports each child's individual readiness.
Throughout the day, children strengthen their: •Language and Literacy Skills through stories, songs, conversations, vocabulary development, and early pre-reading experiences. •Social and Emotional Development by learning to share, cooperate, express emotions appropriately, build friendships, and develop self-confidence. •Cognitive Development through hands-on exploration, problem-solving activities, early math concepts, science discovery, and sensory learning. •Fine Motor Skills through art, puzzles, manipulatives, building activities, writing readiness, and creative projects. •Gross Motor Skills through daily movement, dance, climbing, balancing, and active play.
Our daily routine: helps children develop the structure and classroom behaviors necessary for future school success. They learn to participate in circle time, follow multi-step directions, transition between activities, stand in line, practice patience, and work cooperatively in group settings while building self-regulation and independence.
Children also enjoy a variety of daily enrichment activities: including music, art, STEM exploration, Spanish, yoga, cooking, and other engaging classroom experiences that inspire creativity and a love of learning. Physical activity is an important part of every child's day. Children participate in daily outdoor playground time and enjoy indoor gym activities, providing opportunities to build strength, coordination, balance, and healthy lifelong habits regardless of the weather.
