About Us

Your Child is in Great Hands

Philosophy

Our philosophy at ABC Learning Tree is to encourage children to learn and grow by providing a foundation of developmentally appropriate experiences where all children can succeed in a safe and nurturing environment.

We believe that each child is unique. Our preschool and Pre-K programs provide inclusive settings that recognize children’s varied abilities, interests, and learning styles.

Children learn through play in both their leaning experiences and their environment. Daily routines and meaningful experiences enhance children’s learning. Literacy and language development are encouraged daily in the classroom. Opportunities for exploration and discovery encourage children's love of learning. Positive reinforcement and guidance are the foundation for building healthy relationships with children. Our partnership with the parents are a key ingredient to child care/ academic success.

Health & Safety

" We go above and beyond when it comes to the

health and safety of your children "

Health

Sanitation and healthy hygiene habits are not only modeled and taught, but are key components of our quality program. Hand-washing, cleanliness, healthy eating, daily exercise, and proper rest are just some of the ways we make sure the children at the center remain healthy and happy. We expect that any child that is unwell or unable to participate in the daily activities, will be kept home until they have had ample opportunity to rest and get well.

At ABC Learning Tree, we proudly serve balanced meals. Our menu is mainly organic and goes above and beyond standards. For those picky eaters, we serve  the foods that are on your child's preferred food list. We are extremely mindful of ALLERGIES and the unique risks they pose. We will work with parents to create a personalized food protocol for each child.

Safety

At ABC Learning Tree we offer a safe and nurturing environment for all children that will provide you with peace of mind. We safeguard your child through our strict check in and check out procedures done on the Brightwheel App and by securing center doors. Parents will have their own individual access code for both door to access and the App. This secure App allows parents easy access their children’s meals, nap time, activities. Parents have the option to leave notes

for their child’s teacher. The child:teacher ratios are lower than state standard requirements, so that we can provide individual attention and quality care. All staff receive annual in house CPR training and training on the administration of Epipens for allergic reactions.

Our School Year

Our academic school year is from September 1 to May 31.

We provide age appropriate curriculum for all classes with new themes introduced each month. All classes have a structured Spanish lesson daily. They are introduced to every day Spanish words and phrases. The classrooms have weekly cooking lessons that correspond with the center's themes, seasons and holidays. There is a scheduled weekly STEM activity that is planned for each classroom.  Although our teachers incorporate STEM activities in their daily station rotations as well. A professional music teacher comes to our school weekly to sing, play instruments and foster movement activities with each of our classrooms. Yoga improves flexibility and strength, encourages movement and calmness. Our teachers carefully guide the children to relax, breath and to do simple yoga poses each week.
