Weather permitting, children go outside every day to enjoy our large outdoor play area and participate in nature walks. Outdoor play provides valuable opportunities to explore the environment while developing gross motor skills such as balance, climbing, throwing, running, and skipping. Time outdoors also encourages social interaction, creativity, and a healthy appreciation for nature in a fun and active setting.

We follow all DCFS regulations regarding outdoor play, including appropriate weather conditions, clothing, and the use of sunscreen to ensure children’s safety and comfort. For sanitary reasons, children also switch between indoor and outdoor shoes when transitioning between spaces.
